Dec 06

Australia trip, a collaboration between zaobao and queensland tourism board. For them it is to advertise their tourism sites; for us it is to learn Chinese through play, unconventionally.

Went along as photographer to provide photos for the “blog”/report the participants will be writing after the trip.

Well, did the job, nothing spectacular. Photos gradually getting better as the days go on, ha, warming up. Was given VIP treatment, special access to their theme parks w/o queues etc. Lovely skies and wind.

Well, I'm bad with words. Hope the pictures tell a better story... (=

Locations Visited:

Day 1, Tangalooma. Their desert. Underneath the sands, the coloured sand. Remains of various organisms. Slide.

Day 2, Surfers Paradise. Met their minister, shopping and visited their rainforest(same as our natural reserve like bukit timah etc).

Day 3, Visited Dreamworld.

Day 4, Seaworld and spacewalker.

Day 5, mountain resort. Some elements games. campfire

Tsk, the familiar feeling again. Lost opportunities… Not maximising… Interaction with the people, getting to know them…

Met someone special, she really resembles a good friend, the mannerisms, and even a particular conversation shared. Hmm, maybe more on that in the future…

Unfortunately, good things come to an end? The trip ended, and the people return back to their lives. This becomes a memory and nothing more. Everything fades into memories, and memories eventually fade into nothingness. A pity, especially if it was a wonderful experience that was enshrined into memory.

Could the experience not become memory but continue, develop, become something more, become the ongoing present, something that has yet to end?
